- Other than his career advancement, he has not had a single
achievement that indicates he is uniquely qualified to
bring about worldwide change as he promises to do.
- While working as a Community Organizer in Chicago he
most assuredly made some people feel "hopeful", but did
little to transform the community in a marked way.
- He uses clever and subtle deceit in his rhetoric. There are
countless examples, but here are just a few:
- He repeatedly says that the "policies of the
last eight years" are to blame for America's
economic problems. Yet he has not
identified a single (specific) Bush economic policy that has
been detrimental.
- He claims he opposed the Iraq war from the
beginning, yet he was an Illinois senator at the
time of the invasion - not in a position to oppose
the war in a politically meaningful way.
- He wants to end tax cuts for companies
that "ship jobs" overseas. However, companies
do not get tax cuts for shipping jobs overseas.
What he means is that he wants to punish companies for not keeping jobs in America,
which could in turn motivate them to move even more
jobs out of the country. This is part of his
"stick it to business" philosophy.
- He claims that he wants to build our economy
from the "ground up" by providing tax relief for the
middle class, while making the wealthy pay more.
He claims this is a reversal of Bush's economic
policy. Yet, President Bush gave tax cuts to
all tax paying Americans.
- He claims he wants to give a tax cut to 95% of
Americans, yet 40% of Americans don't pay income
tax. Further, he doesn't say how much the tax
cut would be.
- He blames George Bush for "dividing Wall Street
from Main Street", yet in the same breath says that
CEO's "make more in ten minutes than you and I make
in a year!" Who is doing the dividing?
- He has said repeatedly said that he was only 8 years
old when William Ayers was bombing American buildings.
This is true, however, Obama was a grown adult when
he was in Ayer's living room planning a political
career. No one has accused Obama of being a
terrorist.
- He has proven that his foreign policy acumen is
lacking:
- Comparing John McCain to Barack Obama is like
comparing Mohamed Ali to Pee Wee Herman. John MCain is the undisputable winner.
The only option for Pee Wee is to surround himself
with foreign policy "heavyweights", while McCain
himself is a heavyweight.
- Barack has made no mention of the international
war on terror. I guess he believes it's over!
- Barack was against the so-called surge in Iraq,
the most successful military aspect in the war since
overtaking Bagdad.
Instead, Barack wanted to bring the troops home, leaving
Iraq tattered, unstable, and with Al Qaeda on better
footing.
- Barack has changed his plan for the Iraq war
throughout the last two years. At first he
claimed to be a strong opponent of the war and
insisted we bring the troops home right away. As we have gotten closer to the
election he now defines his policy in vague and
simple terms, claiming he wants to withdraw from
Iraq "responsibly" (as opposed to his prior
irresponsible position).
- Barack apparently thinks the key to ending the
war in Iraq is to apply more pressure on the new
government as if it doesn't have enough trouble
getting underway.
- Barack has indicated that he is willing to sit
with foreign leaders, including Iran's Ahmadinajad,
without preconditions. This indicates a belief
that foreign policy is simply a matter of a good
heart to heart talk. He later tried to change
this statement.
- Barack chose Joe Biden as his running mate
supposedly because
of Biden's foreign policy skills. Yet
Biden has had poor judgment on foreign policy
matters. For example, he thought it was a good
idea to divide Iraq into three separate states.
Biden was also adamantly against the surge.
- Barack has suggested that the war on terror is
simply a matter of getting Osama Bin Laden. He
further suggests that getting Osama is a matter of
sending more troops to Afghanistan, something
President Bush did just after 9/11. We can
conclude that Obama thinks it is more important to
send troops to Afghanistan in order to get one man then it is
to have the entire country of Iraq on stable ground.
- Barack has had a series of questionable
relationships that he has tried to dismiss:
- Tony Rezko is a close friend and business
associate of Obama. Rezko is a convicted felon
for receiving kickbacks on government contracts.
- Reverend Wright was Obama's pastor for 20 years.
Wright has preached highly offensive and radical
viewpoints about America.
- William Ayers is an American terrorist that
Barack has worked with. Yet, Barack has tried to
suggest that he doesn't even know him. Barack
held a campaign event in Ayers' living room.
Barack reviewed one of Ayers' books (favorably).
Barack also served on a board with him. It
appears that they are members of the "mutual
admiration society".
- Barack Obama seems to have a core belief in
Marxism/Socialism.
- He has made it clear that he believes in
confiscating more profits in order to "spread the
wealth". He intends to increase taxes upon
business and the "wealthy" in order put more money
in the hands of the lower economic class.
- He has demonized big business as "greedy".
He has mocked Wall Street investors as making
"obscene" profits. One might ask, how much
profit is too much for Obama?
- He has spoken for more regulation instead of
less government meddling. This represents the
belief that markets are unable to
regulate themselves. The biggest
example of this philosophy can be found in the
housing debacle, in which the government (not to
mention community organizers such as Barack's ACORN)
pressured banks to offer risky loans. Barack concluded that the problem
was that there wasn't enough regulation on the
back end. Apparently he thinks it was ok to
meddle on the front end as long as the government
provided more regulation to make sure it all worked out.
Once again Barack falsely blamed President Bush for
this disaster.
- During his acceptance speech, Barack mocked what
he called the "ownership society". He
characterized free enterprise (ownership) as an
outdated Republican philosophy. One might ask,
are we no longer a society based upon the
opportunity of ownership?
- Barack has deceitfully characterized our
free-enterprise economy as "trickle down", which is
supposedly some Republican scheme. This is
class warfare and false. Our economy is based
upon expansion, not trickle down. In the
expansion of business, jobs, production,
consumption, and prosperity increase.
Pressures upon business, such as taxation,
regulation, penalties, etc, stifle growth.
Barack believes that increasing pressures upon
business is a better means to regulate and
distribute wealth. He believes that reducing
pressures upon business only serves the wealthy,
which he considers, apparently, to be bad.
- During the third presidential debate, Barack
explained a litany of qualities he would look for when
appointing a Supreme Court Justice. He provided
several flowery and nice attributes, such as "being
fair" and "looking out for people", etc. This
indicates that he wants Justices to rule based upon
feelings of justice and "the right thing", rather than the
essential parameters of the constitution.
- Barack voted against the confirmation of judges
Alito and Roberts. These two judges are
overwhelmingly qualified, indicating that Barack votes
for political reasons first and likely has a "litmus"
test for judges, that being abortion.
- Barack has has very loose standards regarding
campaign donations. As a result, money has come in
from unverified donors, including from foreign
countries. Barack's campaign accepts money first,
then asks questions later. McCain's campaign has
had higher standards.
- Barack lied about his commitment to participating in
the public financing program for the general election.
He earlier said that he intended to participate in the
program and that he adamantly supports the idea.
But when it came time to participate, he opted out,
leaving McCain alone in the program.
